What Mauritius taught me: Embrace every experience

Writer: The Mxoli AdventuresThe Mxoli Adventures

What I valued the most from this trip, was learning to take time out inbetween the madness of life and career. I arrived in the evening at the Radisson Blu Mauritius, and was welcomed with warm smiles and a transquil room. I couldnt even pop a bottle of champers to celebrate because I was exhausted by the travel, but I quickly made up for it!

Some of the key things I did to refuel in Mauritius (what to do in Mauritius) were:

  1. Take in the sunrise , make a cup of coffee and take it all in (YES in your PJs)

  2. Take a good book , I had just come from a talk by John Sanei so my book was "Magnetiize"

  3. Bring your workout clothes, enjoy a run or a lazy walk outside the hotel

  4. Bring tons of swimwear, its a beach holiday, and if you are a waterbaby like me , you will use it from dawn to dusk

  5. Bring a backpack, especially when doing the North and South Tour , they are long but very enjoyable . I didnt do a group booking, so it allowed me to take my time and enjoy each spot without the pressure to move as a group.

  6. I went to a local store to pick up other essentials aka more champagne !( so dont only rely on whats you bring in , pricing were competitive - thnx to my driver)

  7. Bring money to explore the music, food, culture, architecture, and people, thats why you are there

  8. Sleep, Rest, Relax, Dream...there is no need to rush, take it all in

  9. Make space to take in the sunset, medicate , create a space for spiritual reflection and connection

  10. Take lots of pictures, bring all the gadgets you might need , so you can look back at the memories (I sure did when we had travel bans, and in lockdown in 2020 !) and Thank You Troy for giving me your fancy gadgets for the trip!

I would recommend any Radisson in the world, I have stayed in acouple, and I thouroughly enjoyed my stay at: https://www.radissonhotels.com/en-us/hotels/radisson-blu-resort-mauritius-poste-lafayette
